Welcome to St. Lawrence!
BETA: This map is fully functional but requires more work before being submitted to modhub. Constructive feedback is very welcome!
A fictional map inspired by the long, narrow farm strips of Quebec, where plots extended perpendicularly from the St. Lawrence River. This arrangement ensured that every farmer had access to a road or riverfront, the most valuable resource for transportation and trade. The great depth of each plot also made fieldwork more efficient, allowing oxen or horses to plow long, straight rows without frequent turning.
A smaller map with a big feel. The map includes 17 fields. Most are 7-8 Ha, with the smallest around 2 Ha and largest around 14 Ha. (1 Ha = 2.47 acres)
Farmland prices are affordable. Farmland 100 is free and covers the main road and and other parts of the map in case you wish to edit them.
Many farmlands include a small patch of forest to satisfy your forestry needs.
Designed with single player in mind, the starting dairy farm is well equipped, including a custom fermenting silo and TMR mixer connected to the cow pen.
A vehicle workshop trigger has been added to the vehicle garage.
The map includes an animal dealer, a gas station, a vehicle dealer, a warehouse and an export dealer that should cover all your needs.
It does not include factories. You can add theses at your convenience.
Alfalfa added to the map for diversity. It behaves like grass.
To do:
Add traffic on the main road.
Map edges. (Repetitive/empty)
Fix bushes and tree lines around the map. (Repetitive)
Translations FR/DE
Add additional street lights / lights at the animal dealer.
Esthetics at the various sell points
Fancier PDA

Wow, St. Lawrence sounds like a fantastic map with a lot of potential! The concept of the narrow farm strips inspired by Quebec's geography is really unique and sets the stage for an interesting farming experience. The emphasis on efficient fieldwork and access to transportation routes for trade is a thoughtful touch that adds depth to the gameplay.

Having a smaller map with a significant number of fields ranging in size from 2 to 14 hectares provides players with a variety of options for farming activities. The inclusion of manageable field sizes and affordable farmland prices is also a great aspect as it allows players to easily expand their operations without breaking the bank.

The attention to detail in the starting dairy farm setup, with equipment like the custom fermenting silo and TMR mixer, shows that a lot of care has been put into making the player experience enjoyable from the get-go. Adding a vehicle workshop trigger to the garage is a convenient feature that streamlines maintenance tasks.

The inclusion of essential facilities like the animal dealer, gas station, vehicle dealer, warehouse, and export dealer ensures that players have everything they need to manage their farm effectively. The option to add factories later on for more advanced production chains is a nice touch, allowing players to customize their experience as they see fit.

The to-do list showcases a clear roadmap for further improvements, such as adding traffic on the main road for a more immersive environment, refining the map edges to avoid repetitiveness, and enhancing the aesthetics of various sell points. The addition of additional street lights and better lighting at the animal dealer will contribute to the visual appeal of the map.

Overall, St. Lawrence seems like a well-thought-out map with a strong foundation and exciting potential for future enhancements. With the right refinements and additions, this map has the makings of a standout addition to the FS25 community. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to seeing how St. Lawrence evolves!
