MOD STATUS: BETA / IN TESTING
Hello everyone! This is my new mod project. The mod is currently in BETA / Testing phase, and I am testing it to verify if everything works properly.
Inspiration:
This mod is inspired by the original mod created by Arrow. The goal is to build upon those concepts and create this version.
Help Needed from Modders:
I am currently facing some technical issues getting the mod to work 100%. If any experienced modder is willing to check the code and help me get it fully functional, I would greatly appreciate it!
HOW THE MOD WORKS (Features)
Dense & Dynamic Fog: Very thick fog both early in the morning and during heavy rain.
Rain & Atmospheric Effects: Atmospheric weather transitions for higher realism.
Extreme Snow Accumulation: Advanced snow depth management on the terrain.
Hail & Vehicle Damage: Hailstorms cause visual and physical damage/wear to active vehicles.
NOTE ABOUT IMAGES:
The images shown here are temporary placeholders for preview purposes only, meant to showcase how the mod is intended to work. They will be replaced with actual in-game screenshots as soon as the mod is fully working and stable.
V1.1.0.0
New In-Game Menu: Fixed the issue where mod settings didn’t show up in the general options menu. You can now toggle weather notifications and hail damage directly in-game.
Full Multiplayer Support: Added dedicated network events for complete server/client synchronization. The mod now works perfectly on dedicated servers and multiplayer sessions.
Audio System Fix: Fixed the ambient sound system integration. Hail and blizzard sounds now trigger correctly based on FS25 native weather scales.
Dynamic Damage Balancing (Time Scale): Vehicle damage and wear calculations now automatically scale with the game’s time speed (from 1x up to 360x). This prevents vehicles from breaking too fast at real-time speeds or escaping damage when speeding up time.

Hi there! Your mod project sounds really ambitious and exciting! It's great to see the passion you have for enhancing the weather and environmental effects in FS25.

It's common to face technical challenges during the development and testing phases of a mod, especially when trying to implement advanced features like dense fog, dynamic weather transitions, and sophisticated snow accumulation mechanics. Seeking help from experienced modders is a smart move to ensure the mod reaches its full potential.

Here's a breakdown of some features and updates you've mentioned in your post:

1. **Dense & Dynamic Fog**: Implementing very thick fog that varies with different weather conditions can add a lot of immersive realism to the game. It's crucial to fine-tune the fog parameters to strike a balance between realism and gameplay visibility.

2. **Rain & Atmospheric Effects**: Atmospheric weather transitions can significantly enhance the overall visual and immersive experience of the game. The realistic depiction of rain and its impact on visibility and terrain can create a more engaging gameplay environment.

3. **Extreme Snow Accumulation**: Managing snow depth on the terrain is a complex task, but when done right, it can transform the game world into a winter wonderland. Paying attention to how snow accumulates and interacts with vehicles and structures will add depth to the gameplay experience.

4. **Hail & Vehicle Damage**: Introducing hailstorms that cause visual and physical damage to vehicles is a unique feature that can introduce a new level of challenge for players. Balancing the damage mechanics to feel realistic but not overly punishing will be key.

5. **New In-Game Menu**: Having a user-friendly in-game menu to toggle mod settings is a great quality of life improvement. It streamlines the player experience and makes it easier to customize the weather effects to their liking.

6. **Full Multiplayer Support**: Ensuring that the mod works smoothly in multiplayer sessions is crucial for engaging a wider audience. Proper synchronization and network events will enhance the multiplayer experience for all players.

7. **Audio System Fix**: Sound design plays a significant role in immersion, and fixing ambient sound integration for hail and blizzard effects will enhance the overall audio experience of the mod.

8. **Dynamic Damage Balancing (Time Scale)**: Adapting vehicle damage calculations to scale with the game's time speed shows a thoughtful approach to balancing gameplay challenges. This feature ensures that vehicle damage remains consistent across different time scales, maintaining realism throughout.

Your dedication to providing a comprehensive and polished mod experience is commendable. With the help of experienced modders, you're well on your way to creating a fantastic weather mod for FS25. Best of luck with the testing phase, and I look forward to seeing the final version of your mod in action!
