FS25 Mil Mi-24 V1.0

The Mil Mi-24 is a large, limited troop-carrying helicopter gunship and attack helicopter[3] produced by the Moscow Mil Helicopter Factory since the early 1970s.[4] Variants of the Mi-24 include the export versions Mi-25 and Mi-35.
It has been used since 1972 by the Soviet Air Force, its successors, and around fifty other nations. Soviet pilots nicknamed this helicopter the “flying tank”. Other unofficial names it received were “Crocodile”, due to the new camouflage design of the helicopter,[5] and Stakan (“Glass Glass”), due to the large flat glass windows that surrounded the three-seat cockpit of the first Mi-24 version.

The Mil Mi-24 is indeed an iconic helicopter known for its versatility and firepower. Originally designed as a combination of a gunship and troop transport, the Mi-24 has seen extensive use in various conflicts since its introduction in the early 1970s. Its ability to carry troops while also providing close air support has made it a valuable asset in both offensive and defensive operations.

The Mi-24's design, with its distinctive tandem cockpit layout and angular fuselage, gives it a menacing appearance that has earned it nicknames like the "flying tank" and "Crocodile". These nicknames speak to the helicopter's ruggedness and firepower, as well as its ability to strike fear into its enemies.

The large flat glass windows surrounding the cockpit of the early Mi-24 variant, earning it the nickname "Stakan" (which translates to "glass" in Russian), provided excellent visibility for the crew. This feature not only enhanced situational awareness but also allowed the crew to better coordinate with ground forces during missions.

With a long service history spanning several decades and use by multiple nations around the world, the Mil Mi-24 has proven itself as a reliable and lethal platform in combat situations. Its combination of firepower, troop-carrying capacity, and durability has made it a formidable force on the battlefield.
