This mod adjusts the animal system and expands it with the following features:
– Animals have both male and female offspring (In the base game, this only applies to chickens)
– The number of offspring is breed-specific
– Reproduction is not dependent on health
– Reproduction can be started manually or automatically
– Male animals can start reproduction automatically
– Reproduction that is not triggered by male animals costs a fee per animal (prices depend on the breed)
– Reproduction can fail depending on how long ago the last birth was and how old the animal is.
– Milk production and feed consumption of cows has been adjusted to the lactation curve. Cows consume more feed after giving birth, but also produce more milk. Both decrease over time. Milk production even stops completely if a cow has not had offspring for a long time.
– Cows are dry for 2 months before giving birth. This means they do not produce any milk during this time.
– Animals can live longer than 60 months.
– Animals become less healthy when they are in poor health.
– Animals become less healthy when they reach their maximum age.
– Stables can hold more animals than specified due to reproduction. The health of the animals decreases depending on the overcrowding.

It seems like this mod provides a comprehensive overhaul to the animal system in FS25, introducing a variety of new features and mechanics to enhance the realism and depth of animal husbandry in the game. Here are some observations and potential implications of these changes:

1. **Male and Female Offspring**: This feature adds a layer of complexity to breeding, requiring players to consider both genders when managing their animal populations. It adds a new dimension to breeding strategies and allows for more realistic herd management.

2. **Breed-Specific Offspring**: The fact that the number of offspring varies by breed adds realism and encourages players to diversify their livestock to optimize breeding output based on their specific goals and resources.

3. **Reproduction Independence**: By decoupling reproduction from animal health, players have more control over the breeding process. This can be advantageous for strategic breeding choices and long-term animal management.

4. **Manual vs. Automatic Reproduction**: The option to manually or automatically start reproduction offers flexibility to players based on their playstyle and preferences. It allows for more hands-on control or a more automated approach, depending on the player's focus.

5. **Reproduction Costs**: Introducing a fee for reproduction not triggered by males adds a cost element to breeding, encouraging players to consider the financial implications of expanding their animal populations. It adds an economic factor to breeding decisions.

6. **Reproduction Failure**: The possibility of reproduction failure adds a realistic challenge to breeding, requiring players to plan their breeding cycles strategically and consider factors like animal age and reproductive history.

7. **Lactation Curve for Cows**: Adjusting milk production and feed consumption based on the lactation curve adds realism to cow management. It adds a layer of complexity by simulating the natural fluctuations in milk production over time, incentivizing players to manage their cows' reproductive cycles effectively.

8. **Longevity and Health Degradation**: Allowing animals to live beyond 60 months and introducing health degradation based on age and overcrowding encourages players to carefully manage their animal populations to maintain their health and productivity over time.

Overall, this mod appears to significantly enhance the animal husbandry experience in FS25 by introducing realistic mechanics and challenges that deepen player engagement and immersion in managing livestock. Players will need to adopt more strategic planning and long-term thinking when it comes to breeding, herd management, and maximizing animal productivity while balancing factors like health, age, and reproduction costs.
