FS25 2A36 Giatsint V1.0

Technical Overview and Combat Role of the 2A36 Giatsint-B and 2S5 Giatsint-S
The 2A36 Giatsint-B (towed variant) and the 2S5 Giatsint-S (self-propelled variant) constitute a heavy 152 mm artillery system engineered for long-range strategic bombardment and counter-battery warfare.
Key Specifications
Caliber and Ammunition: Features a high-power 152 mm ordnance capable of firing high-explosive fragmentation (HE-FRAG) rounds, rocket-assisted projectiles (RAP), and tactical nuclear ammunition.
Extended Range: The long barrel design and high muzzle velocity achieve standard firing ranges of up to 28 to 30 kilometers, which can exceed 33 to 40 kilometers when utilizing rocket-assisted variants.
Chassis and Mobility (2S5): The self-propelled version utilizes a modified tracked chassis derivative (related to air defense systems like the Krug), providing protected tactical mobility and defense against shrapnel and small arms fire.
Deployment and Stabilization: The towed variant (2A36) employs a heavy two-axle carriage alongside hydraulic jacks and a base platform to properly absorb extreme recoil forces during high-charge firing sequences.
Tactical Employment and Importance
Counter-Battery Dominance: Purpose-built to locate, engage, and neutralize enemy long-range artillery batteries, armored command posts, and deep logistics hubs situated far beyond standard frontline boundaries.
Strategic Firepower: Operates at higher echelons of field army artillery to deliver destructive mass against heavy field fortifications and command infrastructure.
