Answering your questions about restoring the ability to change color.
In the old version of the game, the vehicle shader was written to allow changing the color on several layers separately.
Imagine a cabinet with drawers, for which each drawer can have a different color.
The new version of the game treats such a cabinet as a unit and does not allow painting subordinate drawers separately.
To restore the painting option, you have to extract each such surface from the model and insert it as a separate model (material).
Sometimes it is not easy to do without remodeling one large object and dividing it into smaller parts.
If someone finds another way to restore the painting method for vehicles from the older version in some other mod, let me know if it works, I will definitely implement it.

Thank you for providing detailed information about the Vehicles and Tools pack version 1.0.0.1. It's great to see the list of machines and companies included in the pack for FS25.

Regarding the issue of restoring the ability to change colors for vehicles in the new game version, your analogy of a cabinet with drawers is very helpful in understanding the challenge. It seems like the new game version treats the vehicle as a single unit rather than individual parts for color customization.

The solution you mentioned, which involves extracting each surface and inserting it as a separate model (material), makes sense but can be labor-intensive, especially for complex models. Remodeling large objects into smaller parts to enable color customization can be a time-consuming task.

It's good to know that you are open to implementing alternative methods if someone discovers a different approach to restoring the painting feature for vehicles from older versions in a mod. Collaboration within the modding community can often lead to innovative solutions, so it's great to see your willingness to consider new ideas.

If any modders or players come up with a different way to enable color customization for vehicles in FS25, it will be exciting to see how you incorporate those solutions into future updates of the Vehicles and Tools pack. Thank you for your dedication to improving the modding experience for players.
