From a follower:
“Hello friend,
I just wanted to write to you that I came across your mod realistic worker cost and that I like it because I am a fan of fs and realism myself. I was thinking and wanted to share this idea with you, since I am not good at programming I thought I could share this idea with you. The idea is to add a living neighborhood to fs, i.e. NPCs who live around come to life and work on their fields with their own machinery. That would be the first part, and the second would be that you could ask them for a favor or they would ask you for a favor, so that they would be physically present on the map. If you like the idea in any way, I would be happy if you would respond.
Your new follower,”
So i listened, and changed his idea into reality (we are not there yet xD)
Its here, but we have to improve ALOT… From my side, but also from your side!
Have suggestion? Ask them… You dont like something? Tell me about it.. I just need feedback thats all 🙂
Thanks for reading; Now about the mod itself.
FS25 NPC Favor – Living Neighborhood (An idea by Lion2008)
Tired of feeling like the only farmer in a beautiful, empty world? This mod fixes that!
What does it do?
It populates your map with virtual neighbor farmers (NPCs). They have their own lives: they wake up, work their assigned fields, take breaks, and head home at night. They’re not just decorations—you can interact with them!
Key Features:
Living Neighbors:
– AI-controlled farmers with names, personalities, and daily schedules.
Build Friendships:
– Talk to NPCs to build a relationship score. The better friends you are, the more they’ll interact.
Favor System:
– Your neighbors will ask you for help! Complete tasks like “borrow my tractor” or “help with harvest” to earn cash and improve your standing.
Simple & Immersive:
– Walk up, press E to talk. Favors appear as on-screen tasks. It adds life without complicated menus.
Fully Customizable:
– Don’t like how often they ask for help? Change it! Want more or fewer NPCs? You’re in control via the settings file.
Current State (V1.0.0.0):
The core systems are fully functional (AI, schedules, relationships, favors). As a first release, the NPCs themselves are represented by simple visual markers—think of them as the “souls” of your neighbors. The plan is to clothe these souls with proper 3D character models in future updates. Blips “should work” but they arent, therefor its hard to see where the NPC’s are.
This mod is for players who want a more lived-in, dynamic world. It’s a lightweight social simulation that runs alongside your farming, giving you optional side activities and a sense of community.

Hello! It's great to see how you've brought this player's idea to life with the FS25 NPC Favor mod. The concept of a living neighborhood in Farming Simulator is really intriguing and adds a whole new layer of immersion to the game.

Here are some suggestions and feedback to help improve the mod further:

1. Visual Representation: As you mentioned, transitioning from simple visual markers to actual 3D character models for the NPCs would greatly enhance the player's experience. It would make interactions feel more realistic and engaging.

2. Improved Interaction: Adding more dialogue options or activities when interacting with NPCs could deepen the relationships players can build with them. This could include small talk, giving gifts, or participating in community events.

3. Diverse Tasks: Expanding the favor system to include a wider variety of tasks would keep gameplay fresh and exciting. For example, NPC requests could range from helping with livestock to fixing machinery.

4. Dynamic Behavior: Introducing random events or behaviors for the NPCs could make the world feel more dynamic and alive. This could include holidays, festivals, or unexpected situations that require player intervention.

5. Visual Cues: Improving the visibility of NPCs on the map, perhaps by adding icons or indicators, would help players locate them easily and engage with them more effectively.

6. Community Feedback: Consider setting up a feedback system within the mod where players can share their experiences, suggest improvements, or report any issues they encounter while using the mod.

Overall, the FS25 NPC Favor mod has a lot of potential to enhance the Farming Simulator experience by adding a social element to the gameplay. Continuously listening to player feedback and iterating on the mod will help it evolve into a more immersive and engaging feature in the game.

Keep up the great work, and I look forward to seeing how the mod progresses in future updates!
