My first Tractor convert release for FS25 and one that I simply cannot do without for FS25 – the John Deere 8760/8960

V1.1.0.0
– Fixed wetness in the cab interior and on the exterior of the tractor. Bonnet will now get wet while the cab stays dry
– Replaced the rear axle with a properly scaled one kindly provided by Deyluck Farms (Cheers mate you rock!)
– Tweaked the colours of the tractor triangle on the back of the cab to red and white same as what all the real 8760 and 8960’s carried from the factory.
– Shuffled a few things in the i3d to accommodate the 8570 bonnet BcBuhler provided me to put on the tractor in future. this is not a motor configuration yet, still need to put decals and a few other things on it first.
– The stock Deere steering wheel has now been updated to the correct material (painted metal, not rubber) and the trimble steering wheel has been upgraded to the FS25 trimble wheel also used on Deyluck’s 8650.

History behind this mod:
IRL my dad bought a 1992 John Deere 8760 tractor back in 1996 for use as his big air seeding and ploughing tractor in Western Australia. However, we found that the tractor had a few faults after a few years. One of thse faults was the visibility at night with the factory lights the tractor had from new. So, to rectify the issue, new LED Hella spotlights were ordered, and were fitted to the tractor complete with a light bar for improved visibility at night. by the early/mid 2000s.
Recently, in 2024 we sold this tractor, which we lovingly nicknamed “Big Green”. And, because I couldn’t take a piece of the real tractor as a keepsake, I thought I’d do one better by making Big Green’s Light bar in FS22.
Like the 7810, this mod took quite a bit to get working right, as not only did Siid modding put the incorrect gearbox in the original mod, but also put incorrect sounds on the mod, which looking at the files looks to be taken from a Fendt, not a John Deere.

Updates/changes from FS22:
– Mod has been updated to FS25 materials, so the tractor will get wet in all the areas you’d expect, just the water droplets aren’t very noticeable on the hood.
– The Tractor is fitted with the John Deere 15L engine sounds found on Deyluck’s 8650 mod as this is currently the closest I can currently get to genuine recordings from the real 8760
– All tires are base-game FS25 standard with BKT Michelin and Continentals, with plans in not too distant future to throw some Firestone and Goodyear tires on after Spesard & STX Farms’ tires are ready to go
– The cab has updated materials and has been prepared for a potential future update which will be including an option for a 24-speed Synchro-shift
– Precision Planting and Kinze Monitors have been updated to the same standards as the ones currently in Casearias’ Steiger
– All lights on the tractor have been updated to FS25 standards.

Great job on the release of the John Deere 8760/8960 for FS25! It sounds like you've put a lot of effort into making this mod as authentic as possible. The attention to detail, such as fixing the wetness issues, updating the rear axle with a properly scaled one, and tweaking the colors to match the real machines, really shows your dedication to creating a high-quality mod.

I enjoyed reading the history behind your mod and how it is based on your real-life experiences with the John Deere 8760 tractor, lovingly nicknamed "Big Green." It's great to see how personal connections can inspire such creative projects in the gaming community.

The updates and changes you've made from the FS22 version of the mod to FS25 are impressive. The use of FS25 materials for better wetness effects, the inclusion of accurate John Deere engine sounds, and the plans to add additional tire options in the future all contribute to enhancing the realism of the mod.

The improvements to the cab materials, the potential addition of a 24-speed Synchro-shift option, and the updated precision planting and monitor systems further showcase your commitment to delivering a detailed and immersive gameplay experience for FS25 players.

Overall, your dedication to continuously improving and refining this mod is evident, and I'm sure players will appreciate the effort you've put into creating a faithful representation of the John Deere 8760/8960 in the game. Keep up the fantastic work, and I look forward to seeing more updates and enhancements in the future!
